The IOSTIA Executive Council, other support committees, Forum Members, and Staff are constantly working to improve and add to the programs and services we offer our members. We are committed to providing the very best networking and business development opportunities and a robust government relations program working to promote and advance the interests of maritime technology companies.

IOSTIA currently provides the following member benefit programs:

Lobbying & Government Affairs

Through the IOSTIA Lobbying and Government Relations Program we are able to provide a unified and focused voice for our members on Capitol Hill. We provide expert legislative and regulatory leadership and serve as a reputable source for information on the industry and interests of our members. As we advance our policy positions before Congress and the Executive Branch, we work with the end-goal of creating industry-positive policy decisions. We also facilitate member access to regulatory and legislative processes, provide expert testimony and tailored advice on policy issues.

Get involved with advocacy and government affairs:

    • Lend a voice in developing IOSTIA’s legislative and government affairs priorities through our policy committee
    • Participate in the annual IOSTIA Hill Day scheduled on June 4, 2018 and demonstrate your technology and services at the Exposition of Blue Technologies
    • Participate in IOSTIA panels and provide expert testimony

IOSTIA Committees & Forums

Our members are central to the development of IOSTIA programs that support and promote the maritime technology industry and overall blue economy. Our policy positions and focus areas are developed in our committees and leadership forums. By participating in these groups, our members have a seat at the table to assist in policy development and ongoing effort to develop and implement our programs and services. Member Promotion

A major focus IOSTIA is to promote our members by increasing their visibility within the maritime industry and promoting their role in the blue economy.  Being a member of IOSTIA brings many B2B and B2G networking opportunities both in the US and Internationally.  IOSTIA provides a platform for our members including:

US Commercial Service Program (Trade Missions)

The US Commercial Services is the trade promotion arm of the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.  US Commercial trade professionals work in over 100 US cities and more than 75 countries help US companies get started in exporting or increase sales to new global markets.


IOSTIA, works hand-in-hand with this program to help our members grow their businesses internationally and to navigate through the process on matters such as:

    • Logistics
    • Financial Issues
    • Market Intelligence
    • Trade Problems

Business Savings Programs:

The IOSTIA Business Savings Program offers our members significant volume-based discounts, favorable terms, and other benefits from industry leading suppliers. For each participating program, IOSTIA has conducted a formal evaluatin process to ensure value and quality for our members.  The discounted prices and value-added features are based on volume transactions for the individual programs.  We look for opportunities to pool the purchasing power of thousands of companies to benefit yours!


In addition to general business affinity programs, we are also seeking to create industry-specific value opportunities that directly impacts your bottom line.  We are identifying and negotiating business savings programs including:
